Crystal Fieldhouse Welcomes Greater Flint Hockey Association (GFHA) Youth Hockey. Greater Flint Hockey Association has committed to skate out of the newly named Crystal Fieldhouse as their home arena in 2014. The Greater Flint Hockey Association is a 501C3 non-profit association.

Greater Flint Hockey Association’s “Try Hockey Day” event at Crystal Fieldhouse Ice Arena was created to help raise awareness in the youth of our community the love of hockey where they can see how this sport can be fun and exciting. Try hockey is a special day where boys and girls can try hockey for FREE by skating, passing, shooting with the help from GFHA members, Crystal Fieldhouse staff, and the men and women from the UofM Flint hockey teams.
Registration sign up will be available that day for GFHA’s “Learn to Play Skill Development” Ages 4-15 years. This program is twice a week for 8 weeks Tuesday and Saturdays January 24th-March 16th. Special discounted price if registering before or on January 18th, you can register online at crystalfh.com
Every participant in GFHA Try Hockey Day will receive FREE ADMISSION to January 18th University of Michigan - Flint mens hockey game against Adrian College pre-game at 3:00pm, game at 3:30pm, compliments of University of Michigan Flint. Free skating with the Hockey players will be available after the game.
Please join us at Crystal Fieldhouse on January 18th and see how GFHA, UofM Flint and the staff at Crystal Fieldhouse is here for the community and making a difference in our youth.
Save the Date! Try Hockey For Free Clinic on February 21, 2015 as part of Hockey Weekend Across America, presented by CCM.
Free will donations accepted during these event and funds raised will go to GFHA to purchase more youth hockey equipment and hockey sleds for disabled youth for future Try Hockey Days at Crystal Fieldhouse. GFHA is a 501C3 non-profit organization. Donated youth hockey equipment can be dropped off at Crystal Fieldhouse for GFHA.

TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE DAY was a success on Saturday, November 8th pictures below:
GFHA and USA Hockey's "Try Hockey For Free Day" on Saturday, November 8th, was a huge success with 49 participants on the ice. All of the kids had fun, as did the U of M Flint Hockey players that helped out during the event by giving instruction and skating with the participants. Our next "Try Hockey For Free" days are on Sunday, Jan. 18th, at 12 noon and during the NHL's weekend event "Hockey Across America" on Saturday, Feb. 21st, at 11 am.
